Jing Li is an Associate Professor at Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University in Beijing. He earned his Bachelor's degree from China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2008, and obtained MFA degree in Glass Art from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale in 2012. Li was trained based on materials, and inherited the traditional Venetian glass blowing and sculpting techniques. In the context of contemporary art, He has been exploring how to use glass as a mainly material to express artist’s idea and concept in various art forms. Li has received multiple art scholarship from Penland School of Crafts, Pittsburgh Glass Center, and The Studio of the Corning Museum of Glass. His work was featured in New Glass Review 35 and Art Glass Today 2, and published many papers in the national core journals among Art Research, Art Observation, Zhuangshi and World Art.
